    Source of Recipe

    Internet

    List of Ingredients

10 to 12 medium size jalapeno peppers
    1/2 c. flour
    4 Tbsp. taco seasoning mix
8 oz. cream cheese or Cheddar 2 eggs
    ¾ c. hush puppy mix
    bacon bits

    Recipe

Trim ends of raw peppers. Slice long ways and hollow out seeds. (Do not put fingers in nose or mouth at this point; gloves recommended.) Blanch peppers (boil) for 20 to 25 minutes on medium heat or until tender. Drain water off peppers; dry on paper towel and let cool. Stuff each pepper half with cream or Cheddar cheese, your choice. Press bacon bits into cheese. Dip pepper halves in beaten eggs; roll in dry ingredient mixture. Re-dip in egg and re-roll in dry mixture. Deep fry until golden brown (about 1 ½ to 2 minutes) or until cheese starts popping out. .................................
