    Recipe Introduction

Tried this and was so heavenly

    List of Ingredients

2 cups of cold white Lily Self Rising Flour
1/4 cup very cold Land o lakes pure butter
    3/4 cup cold buttermilk

    Recipe

Use White Lily self rising unbleached flour for best bread
Measure out flour the night before and leave in refrigerator as everything is cold it will result in better biscuits.
Preheat oven to 500 and use a cast iron skillet to bake biscuits in. Just spray the pan before using. Cut in the butter into the flour and then add buttermilk. The dough will be sticky and shaggy looking. Put a little flour on to counter top and scoop dough out. Sprinkle a bit of flour over the top and gently bring together to form a rectangle. Take the rectangle and fold the short sides in toward the middle and turn the dough and press down rectangle again and repeat. Repeat this folding once more and have it about an inch thick. Use a biscuit cutter and cut out the biscuits without twisting the biscuit cutter. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes until brown, cover with a tea towel after taking out of oven and let set a few minutes.
