    Beef Pie, large, layered w/musrooms+crescents

    ground - Beef Pie, large, #5, layered w/musrooms+crescents

    1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
    8 ounces tomato sauce
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    1, 4.5 ounce jar mushrooms, not drained
    1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
    1 egg
    2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
    ground paprika

    Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
    Brown ground beef and drain.
    Simmer beef, tomato sauce, onion and mushrooms until onion
    is cooked and liquid is reduced by about a 1/3rd.
    Pat crescent roll dough into the bottom of a 10 inch pie plate
    to form crust.
    Beat egg and then mix with 1 cup of of the cheese.
    Place in crust as the first layer.
    Put meat mixture on top and cover with remaining 1 c. cheese.
    Sprinkle with paprika.
    Bake for 20 minutes.
    Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
