scratch - Pinto Bean Cake #1

1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
2 cups unseasoned pinto beans, cooked,
...drained and crushed
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 cups freshly diced apples
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup nuts
1 cup self-rising flour, (or
...1 cup all-purpose flour + 1 tsp. baking powder)

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a tube pan.
Cream sugar and margarine.
Add remaining ingredients.
Bake for one hour.

frosting:
1 pound powdered confectioners sugar
2 Tbsp. milk (or water or more)
1 Tbsp. bean soup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup margarine
