cakemix - Pumpkin Pie Squares

4 eggs
3 cups solid pack canned pumpkin (not pumpkin mix)
1 1/2 cups granulated white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups evaporated milk

1, 2 layer package yellow cake mix
1 cup melted butter
1 cup chopped walnuts, optional

Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix first 9 ingredients together in the order given.
Pour into an ungreased 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking pan.
Sprinkle evenly with the DRY cake mix.
Drizzle with the melted butter.
Sprinkle the walnuts on top, if using.
Bake for 1 1/2 hours.
Cover with foil if it browns too quickly.
Serve with whipped cream.
