    French Salad Dressing, clear #2

    1 cup white vinegar
    1/2 teaspoon dill seed
    1 1/2 cups granulated white sugar
    3/4 cup vegetable oil
    2 teaspoons salt
    1 teaspoon ground black pepper
    1 drip hot sauce

    Combine all ingredients in a nonreactive saucepan. Bring to a boil
    over a high heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and let
    cool, Then chill.
    Makes 16 servings.
