Italian Dressing, creamy

1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 (cup) small onion, quartered
1 tablespoon white granulated sugar
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
3/4 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Place in blender/food processor and blend until
smooth, stopping once to scrape down sides.
Cover and chill.
