    Hershey's Great American Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe produces 6 dozen truly great CC cookies.

    List of Ingredients




    1 c Butter, softened
    3/4 c Sugar
    3/4 c Light brown sugar packed
    1 ts Vanilla
    2 Eggs
    2 1/4 c Flour, all purpose unsifted
    1 ts Baking soda
    2 c Hershey's semi-sweet chips
    1 c Nuts, chopped (optional)

    Recipe



    Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large mixerbowl. Add eggs; beat well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Beat well.

    Stir in chips and nuts.

    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly. Remove from cookie sheet.
