EASY JAMBALAYA (T&T)

List of Ingredients
1 lb. sausage, sliced
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
2 cups raw rice
1/4 cup shallots
1 can beef broth
1 can French onion soup
1 can (8 oz.) mushrooms, drained
1 stick margarine
parsley & thyme to tasteRecipe
Mix all of the above ingredients together in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Cover and bake at 350�F degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
(Optional � add 1 lb. peeled shrimp after baking for 1 hour; continue to bake for 30 minutes.)
10-31-06: Made this today. It was easy and good. I used ground sausage. I used catsup as I didn't have tomato sauce. Used more onions and dried onion soup mix mixed with water. Added 4 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced and 1 lb. salad shrimp. Next time, I would cook my rice first or partially then add it. I added the shrimp. I cooked this on the stove top...did fine. It was delish! Will make this again.
