    Chunky Spaghetti Sauce (spicey)

    I really only pour my spices in to taste. I dont usually measure so I am guessing on the amounts. I like some spices better then others. So use your taste buds to make it your own.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes (no salt)
    • 2 cans 8 oz tomato sauce (no salt)
    • 1 Medium to large onion diced
    • 1 1/2 tsp basil
    • 1 tsp oregano
    • 2 bay leaf
    • 2 Tbsp. fresh minced garlic
    • 1 T balsamic vinegar
    • 1/4 c red wine
    • 1 tsp crushed Pepper Flakes (to taste)
    • 1 t onion powder
    • 1/2 tsp Mrs. Dash Tomato and Herb
    • 1/2 tsp Mrs. Dash Garlic and Herb
    • 1/2 tsp Mrs. Dash Onion and Herb
    • 1/2 tsp Mrs. Dash Spicey Blen
    • 1 pound of Mushrooms ( I like Porchinis because they hold up better, but you can use the kind you like or leave out if you want to)


    Instructions


    1. Put all ingredients into saucepan. Stir and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to just simmer. Continue to simmer uncovered for 30-40 minutes letting flavors blend and sauce thicken. (The longer you simmer, the thicker the sauce will get). Makes 4-5 servings

    2. If you want meat sauce, add your correct portion of seasoned crumbled meat (ground turkey or ground beef seasoned with onion, garlic and pepper) to your prepared dish.
