    2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 cups granulated sugar
    1 cup butter or margarine
    4 tbsp cocoa
    1 cup water
    1/2 cup buttermilk
    1 tsp baking soda
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1/3 tsp salt
    1 tsp vanilla extract

    Icing:
    1/2 cup butter
    3 tbsp cocoa
    6 tbsp whole milk
    1 lb powdered sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract

    Preheat oven to 400. Grease and flour a 9-by-13 inch baking pan.

    Sift together flour and sugar. Set aside.

    Heat butter, cocoa and water in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Stir until
    smooth.

    In a separate bowl, combine the buttermilk, baking soda, eggs, cinnamon,
    salt and vanilla.

    Combine the flour-sugar with the buttermilk mixture. Then add the
    butter-cocoa mixture, stirring well.

    Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 400 for 25 to 30 minutes.

    For the icing, heat the butter with the cocoa and milk until the mixture
    boils. Stir. Beat in the powdered sugar and vanilla until icing is smooth.

    Remove cake from oven. Cool 5 minutes.

    Pour the icing over the cake while still hot. Chill until icing firms.
