APPLE CAKE




List of Ingredients



• 2 cups sugar��
  
• 1 cup vegetable oil��
  
• 3 eggs��
  
• 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour��
  
• 2 teaspoons baking soda��
  
• 1/2 teaspoon salt��
  
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon��
  
• 1 teaspoon allspice��
  
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg��
  
• 1 cup buttermilk��
  
• 1 teaspoon vanilla��
  
• 1-1/2 cups apples, peeled -- cubed��
  
• 1/4 cup orange juice��
  
• 1 cup confectioner's sugar
  






Instructions



1. Cream sugar and oil. Add 3 eggs, one at a time, and beat well.
   
2. Combine flour and next 7 ingredients.
   
3. Add to egg and oil mixture. Add apple cubes; mix well. Bake in greased and floured 10-inch tube pan at 350 degrees F. for one hour.
   
4. Combine orange juice with confectioner's sugar to make a glaze. Pour glaze over hot cake. Let cool completely then remove from pan. Yield: 10 servings.
