List of Ingredients
1 can (300 mL) Regular or Low Fat Eagle Brand�
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
pinch salt
2 1/2 cups (625 mL) flaked coconut
2 cups (500 mL) chopped dates
2 cups (500 mL) chopped pecans
1/4 cup (50 mL) finely chopped maraschino cherries
1 cup (250 mL) butter icing
1/4 cup (50 mL) semisweet chocolate chips, melted
Recipe
1. Blend together Eagle Brand, salt and vanilla. Stir in coconut, dates, pecans and cherries. Spoon mixture into 8� square (1.5 L) parchment paper-lined baking pan.
2. Bake in preheated 180�C (350�F) oven for 30 minutes; remove and let cool 2-3 minutes. Lift from pan using paper to help. Remove paper and cool completely. Spread butter icing over the cool bars and drizzle with melted chocolate. Let topping set. Cut into bars.
