    2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter or margarine, at room temperature
    1 box (16 ounces) light-brown sugar
    3 eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla
1 package (6 ounces) chocolate chips
1/4 cup coarsely chopped nuts, such as walnuts or pecans
    Glaze:
    1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
    1 1/2 to 3 teaspoons milk

    Recipe

    2. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt onto sheet of waxed paper.
