    Bitochky (little meat balls)

    Judy's Recipe
    1 lb ground beef
    11/2 c. stale bread broken into pieces
    1 tsp. salt
    dash pepper
    2 tbsp chopped onion
    2 tbsp sour cream
    bread crumbs
    1/2 c water
    1/2 pint sourcream
    1 can mushroom soup

    Soak bread in water and squeeze out. Mix meat and bread and next 4 ingredients with your hands. Make little balls and roll in bread crumbs. Saute in butter or fat and as they are ready take out of skillet and put in another pan.
    For sauce: Add add a little butter to the fryings and 1/2 cup cold water. Let boil and scrape well. Add sour cream and mushroom soup, do not boil, blend thoroughly, then pour over meatballs. [The longer they stand the better they get]
    May sound complicated but the end result is soooo good. This is a recipe from 30 years ago!
