    Apple Dumplings in a Casserole

    Brendasin
    2 C Flour
    2 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
    1/2 tsp. Salt
    2/3 C Shortening
    1/2 C Milk
    6-8 Apples, peeled and cored
    1 C Brown Sugar
    3/4 C Sugar
    1/4 C Margarine or Butter
    1/4 tsp. Cinnamon

    Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
    Cut in shortening. Add milk.
    Mix to form soft dough.
    Line in 13x9" baking pan using 2/3 of dough, reserving 1/3 for top.
    Slice apples over crust.
    Sprinkle sugars and cinnamon over apples.
    Dot with margarine.
    Cover with
    remaining dough, pinching edges to seal.
    Slit several times in center for steam to escape.
    Bake in preheated 375 degree over for 40 minutes. Serve warm.
    6-8 servings.
