    Homemade Corn Tortillas

    2 cups masa harina
    1 cup water

    Mix masa with water in a large mixing bowl according to package directions. Knead for 1 minute. Form into 12 balls each about 1-1/2'' in diameter. Cover with plastic wrap.

    Heat a griddle or heavy skillet over high heat. For each tortilla, place one ball inside a plastic bag. Press into a 4-inch circle using a plate or a tortilla press. Reduce the heat to medium. Cook one tortilla at a time for 30 seconds on one side, turn and cook 1 minute on other side. Turn again and cook for a few seconds, remove to warm plate. Repeat.
