    Bag-N-Season Octoberfest Stew

    1 package McCormick® Bag 'n Season® Pot Roast
    2 pounds lean beef, cut in 1-inch cubes
    2 cups sliced onions
    2 all-purpose potatoes, cut in 1-inch cubes (about 2 cups)
    1 pound baby carrots
    1 tablespoon brown sugar
    1 cup beer*
    dash McCormick® Gourmet CollectionTM Ground Nutmeg (optional)
    1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Black Pepper

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Arrange opened Roasting Bag in 13x9-inch baking pan. Place meat and vegetables in bag. Combine brown sugar, seasoning blend, pepper and, if desired, nutmeg. Sprinkle over meat. Pour beer over meat and vegetables.

    2. Close bag loosely with nylon tie. Cut 4 small holes in top of bag to allow steam to escape. Bake 1 1/2 hours. Let stand 5 minutes. Thicken sauce if desired.

    * 1 cup beef broth may be substituted for the beer.
