Tomato and Basil Fettucinni

1 package (12-oz) BUITONI Refrigerated Fettuccine
1/4 cup olive oil
1 medium onion, peeled and chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
4 cups chopped tomatoes
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Cook fettuccine according to package directions; drain, cover and reserve.
In a skillet heat olive oil over medium-high heat; saute onions and garlic clove until tender; do not brown. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and basil. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
In a large bowl combine the fettuccine and the sauce; toss until evenly coated. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
