Pork Chops Italian
Source of Recipe
2 tbsp. freshly grated Parmesan cheese (I sub. pre-grated)
2 tbsp. fine, dry breadcrumbs (Italian-seasoned are tasty)
6 (1-inch thick) boneless pork chops
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 (26-28 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
2 cups (8 oz.) mozzarella cheese
16 ounces fettuccine, cooked
Garnish: fresh basil sprig
Stir together Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs. Dredge pork chops in breadcrumb mixture.
Brown chops in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place chops in a lightly greased 11x7x2-inch or 13x9x2-inch baking dish; pour spaghetti sauce over chops.
Bake at 350º for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese, and bake 5 more minutes. Serve over hot cooked fettuccine. Garnish, if desired.
