Source of Recipe
I was creating a gourmet meal for a group of friends and needed something different for dessert, I surfed pumpkin recipes (as it was Fall) and we all fell in love with this yummy dessert.
List of Ingredients
Makes 1 9/13 inch pan (24 servings)
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
1 cup white sugar
4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 (18.5 oz) package yellow cake mix
3/4 Cup melted butter
1-1/2 Cup chopped walnuts (I use pecans)
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
2. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin, milk, eggs, sugar and spice. Mix well, and pour into a 9x13 inch pan.
3. Sprinkle dry cake mox over the top, then drizzle with melted butter. Top with nuts.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean
Serve with ice cream or whipped cream, I had some of Cool Whip's Vanilla Creme and that's what we used, it was wonderful.
