    Bacon Almond Spread

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 cup (4 oz.) soft cream cheese*
    4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
    1/4 cup finely chopped dates
    2 tablespoons dry sherry or orange juice
    2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
    1 tablespoon thinly sliced green onions
    1/3 cup chopped almonds, toasted


    In mixing bowl stir together cream cheese, bacon, dates, sherry, parsley, and green onions. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or up to 2 days. To serve, stir in almonds and spoon spread into small serving dish. Set dish in center of large platter and surround with crackers. Makes about 1 cup spread.

    *Regular, reduced-fat, or fat-free cream cheese can be used.
