    Coffee Can Ice Cream

    List of Ingredients

    1 - 1 lb. coffee can with lid
    1 - 3 lb. coffee can with lid
    Ice cubes rock salt (table salt can be used too)

    1 cup (container) heavy cream
    1 cup milk
    1 egg
    1/2 cup sugar (or less)
    2 tsp. vanilla (or 1/2 cup chocolate or strawberry
    Quick can be used in place of sugar and vanilla)


    Place all ingredients into clean, 1 lb. coffee can. Put on lid and place tape around lid and can to prevent leakage. Place 1 layer of ice cubes around 1 lb. can, sprinkle with salt. Close 3 lb. can and tape shut. Now, roll, roll, roll, the can back and forth on the floor for 15 - 20 minutes. Add more ice and salt as needed. This recipe makes enough for 5 - 6 cones.
