    List of Ingredients

    1 lb. ground beef
    1 lg. onion, chopped
    1 green bell pepper, diced
    2 tsp. minced garlic
    1-1/2 cups rice, uncooked
    28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
    28 oz. can tomato sauce
    salt/pepper to taste


    In skillet, brown ground beef with onion, pepper, and garlic; drain. Meanwhile, cook rice according to package directions. Set aside. Add crushed tomatoes to ground beef. Combine ground beef and cooked rice in large pot. Add tomato sauce until desired consistency. Simmer over low heat until heated through. Add salt and pepper to taste.

    Note: You can also use this to stuff peppers. Take bell peppers, cut them in half, being sure to scrape out all the seeds and pith, stuff with Spanish Rice, then bake in 350 F oven 15-20 minutes.
