    List of Ingredients

    4 cups fresh blueberries
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    2 pie crusts (9 inch)
    1 cup sugar
    1/3 cup all-purpose flour
    1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    Dash ground cloves
    2 tablespoons butter or margarine
    1 egg yolk
    1 tablespoon water


    Sprinkle blueberries with lemon juice; set aside. Combine sugar, flour, and spices; stir well. Add flour mixture to berries, stirring well. Pour into pastry lined pie plate. Dot filling with butter. Cover pie with second crust. Trim pastry; seal and flute edges. Cut slits in crust top for steam to escape. Combine egg yolk and water; lightly brush pastry top with mixture. Bake at 400 degrees F. for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown. Cool before serving. Yield: 8 servings.
