Basic Tomato Sauce for Stuffed Cabbage

Nice basic, simple TASTY tomato sauce for baking stuffed cabbage, Italian (or other) sausage, or the Wedding Roaster.
List of Ingredients
1 can tomato soup
1 (small) can tomato paste (plain, not seasoned)
1 can chicken broth
1 (small) can V8 juice
1 T honey
1 cup apple juice (more or less)
Whisk everything together, using about half of the apple juice. Pour over the ingredients you're baking/roasting, pouring the remaining apple juice around the edges of the dish to keep everything moist.
The thing with this is, you don't want to drown your dish in sauce, just use enough to kind of coat everything because the roasting ingredients also give off more moisture (effectively making more sauce as it all cooks). When using a roaster ... sometimes at the beginning of cooking, if the ingredients are not quite all coated, you may get some singe around the edges - that's why you want to add the remaining apple juice around the edges.
