    Walnut Cinnamon-Chocolate Coffee Cake

    2 1/4 cups flour
    1 cup plain yogurt
    1 cup walnuts, chopped
    3/4 cup light brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp cinnamon; 1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp taking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 1/2 stick unsalted butter, melted and cooled
    1 cup chocolate chips


    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease two nine inch cake pans.
    In a large bowl, mix flour, sugars, 1 tsp of cinnamon, and salt. Combine mixture with butter with pastry blender or two knives until damp and crumbly. Take out 3/4 cup of mixture and put it into a small bowl. Add remaining 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and walnuts. This will be the topping.
    Put yogurt, egg, baking powder, baking soda, and vanilla into a small bowl, beat with a fork until well mixed; stir in chocolate chips. Fold into the flour mixture in the large bowl. Pour into prepared pans; sprinkle with the topping.
    Bake 20-25 minutes, until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
