List of Ingredients
1 - 1 1/2 lbs. sausage - either smoked sausage, or
fresh kielbasa, your preference
2 16 oz. cans beef broth
1 med. - lg. onion - cut into about 1/2� pieces
1 cup celery - sliced
salt & pepper to taste
1/2 head cabbage - cut into about 1� pieces
1 can diced tomatoes
12 - 16 oz. tomato juice
12 - 16 oz. water
2 cans baked beans - the flavor choice is yours.... (I have
even used chili mix beans before)
Optional items: mushrooms, carrot slices, sweet peppersRecipe
Put first group of ingredients in a large pot. Bring to boil, and simmer about 15 minutes. Add second group to pot. Add any �optional� items you want. If you need additional water (or tomato juice), add it. Cook until cabbage is nearly done. Add beans, bring to a boil, and simmer for 10 - 15 minutes. Let set about 1/2 hour, and serve. (Reheat if needed.)
