    Awesome Chocolate Chip Cookies

    These cookies are a perennial favorite with the family. The dough is very versatile and has a butterscotch flavor. You can use the dough alone or add chips, M&M's, nuts, raisins, oatmeal...use your immagination.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 cups Bisquick
    • 3/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 stick butter or margerine
    • 1 egg
    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 1/2-1 cup nuts (optional)


    Instructions


    1. Cream butter and sugar.
    2. Mix in egg.
    3. Stir in Bisquick and mix until just blended.
    4. Stir in chips and nuts.
    5. Drop by a spoon on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    6. Bake in a 350 degree oven 8-10 minutes.
    7. Cool on racks.


    Final Comments


    * If you double the recipe, do not double the egg.
    ** I have found the dough is much more tender if you mix by hand.
