Chocolate Mint Dream Cake

" My Gram at the farm use to make this cake. I added a few twists."
1 box devils food cake mix prepare according to directions on the box.
1 large special dark chocolate candy bar
1 box Andies Candies
Mint icing see recipe

Place 3/4 package Andies candies in double boiler with 8 sections of special dark. Melt and blend together, then set aside. Place cooled cake on plate and cut through so you have a top and bottom layer.

Spread a very thin amount of mint icing on bottom layer, then place second layer on top. Spread thin amount of icing on top of cake. Use melted chocolate to spread around the sides of the cake [I use a spoon so it doesn't drip so much.] Fill icing decorator bag with remaining chocolate and drizzle over entire cake. Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours before serving.

Mint icing:
3/4 cup shortening
3 cup 10X sugar
1/4 cup milk
5 drops peppermint oil

Mix all ingredients until creamy
