    CHOCOLATE, MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE

    Recipe Introduction


    (8" pan recipe in Brookfield Cookbook)


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 sticks oleo
    • 2 C. sugar
    • 11/2 C. sifted flour
    • 1/2 C. cocoa
    • 1 C. pecans
    • dash salt
    • 4 eggs, beaten
    • 2 t. vanilla
    • 1 jar marshmallow cream
    • Icing:
    • 1/2 stick oleo
    • 1/2 C. cocoa
    • 6 T. milk
    • 1 lb. powdered sugar


    Instructions


    1. Melt oleo and pour into big bowl.

    2. Add dry ingredients and nuts.

    3. Add eggs & vanilla. Mix well.

    4. Pour mixture into 9x13 pan. Bake 30 - 35 minutes at 350 degrees.

    5. Spread with marshmallow cream immediately after removing from oven.

    6. Icing:

    7. Melt oleo, add cocoa, milk and sugar. Beat and spread over marshmallow cream.
