    Baked Lasagna

    List of Ingredients




    1 1/2 lbs. Italian sausage or hamburger, or combination of both
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 onion, chopped
    1 jar spaghetti sauce or homemade sauce
    1 box no-boil noodles
    3 C cottage cheese
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 tsp salt (I omit this)
    1/2 tsp pepper
    2 T parsley
    1/2 C grated parmesan cheese
    1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated

    1/2 C grated parmesan cheese
    1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated

    Recipe



    Brown sausage or hamburger with the garlic and onion. I use sausage but you can use either or a combination of both. Drain sausage mixture. Add spaghetti sauce and simmer for 20 minutes. In a separate bowl combine the cottage cheese, eggs, pepper, parsley, and parmesan cheese. Place 1/2 cup meat mixture in the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 baking dish. Place 3-4 noodles on top. Make sure that the noodles do not touch the sides of the baking dish. Layer meat mixture, cottage cheese mixture, and mozzarella over noodles. Add another layer of noodles and repeat layers. Last layer end with meat mixture topped with mozzarella. Sprinkle the top with extra parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes for easier cutting. Servings 10-12.
