    Tested by Lori. Delicious, fluffy (no-holes) pound cake...anything but plain! Add strawberries and Cool Whip on top for a delicious dessert or serve plain.

    List of Ingredients

    1 cup butter or margarine
    1/4 cup Crisco
    5 eggs
    3 cups sugar
    3 1/2 cups plain flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 cup milk
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. lemon flavoring
    1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring


    Cream butter and Crisco. Add sugar. Cream in a mixer, add eggs, one at a time.

    Sift dry ingredients together while mixture is creaming in your mixer bowl. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to mixer bowl. Add flavorings.

    Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours in a 10-inch tube pan.
