Green Chili Relenos Squares

1 pound lean ground beef
2/3 cup salsa
3/4 cup water
1 cup uncooked instant rice
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
4 ounces canned chopped green chilies, undrained
1 cup milk
1/3 cup flour
4 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cook ground beef in 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, stirring
occasionally, until browned. Drain off fat, if needed. Stir in salsa
and water. Continue cooking until mixture comes to a boil (4 to 5
minutes).
Spray a 8-inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place
rice in dish. Spoon meat mixture evenly over rice. top with half of
cheese, chiles and remaining cheese. Beat together milk, flour, eggs
and salt. Pour over cheese.
Bake, uncovered, for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted in
center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Serves 6.
