    Great-Grandma's Butter Cake

    This recipe was handed down from my Dutch great-grandmother's family.

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup butter
    2 cups sugar
    5 eggs
    1 tsp. desired flavoring
    2 cups all purpose flour

    Recipe



    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

    Add flavoring.

    Add flour, using mixer until cake is ready for pan.

    Pour in well greased and floured tube pan.

    Bake for 45 minutes at 375.
