    CHOCOLATE MALT CAKE

    List of Ingredients




    3/4 cup butter -- room temperature
    1 3/4 cups sugar
    2 eggs
    2 cups flour
    1/2 cup powdered cocoa
    1/4 cup malted milk powder
    1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt

    Frosting:
    1/2 pint whipping cream
    6 tablespoons powdered sugar
    6 tablespoons malted milk powder

    Place butter and sugar in bowl. Using electric mixer, mix butter and sugar together until mixture is light and creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat l minute at medium speed. Combine flour, cocoa, malted milk powder, baking soda and salt; add alternately with water to butter-egg mixture. Pour batter into two buttered and floured 8 in. cake pans. Bake 350 35 min. or until test done. Cook and frost.

    Frosting: Whip the cream, then add remaining ingredients slowly.
