French Toast: Baked French Toast

- 1 loaf french bread
- 1 dozen eggs
- 1 pint half and half
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped, toasted pecans
- 4 tablespoons butter or margarine
Instructions
- The night before: Break bread into pieces and place in a 9x11" baking dish. Beat eggs with half and half in mixing bowl. Pour egg mixture over bread, cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Before Baking: Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Sprinkle over the bread/eggs mixture. Dot butter or margerine over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes until bread is set. Serve warm as is or sprinkle with powdered sugar or warm syrup.
