    Southwestern Sausage Egg And Cheese

    List of Ingredients


    • 18 eggs
    • 1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chiles
    • 1 pound cooked breakfast sausage
    • 2 1/2 cups grated Monterey jack cheese or Pepper jack cheese
    • 1 medium onion, diced
    • 1 green pepper, diced
    • 1 tablespoon butter


    Instructions


    1. Grease crock with butter. Starting with sausage, layer meat, chiles, onions, peppers and cheese, repeating the layering process until all the ingredients are used and ending with a layer of cheese. Beat eggs, then poor over the mixture in the slow cooker. Cover and turn on low. Cook for 7 to 8 hours. Serve with sour cream or fresh salsa.
    2. Yield: 10 servings
