    Beef: Fiesta Pie

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 pound ground beef
    • 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
    • 1 cup chopped onion
    • 1 (8 ounce) jar cheez whiz
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
    • 1/2 cup chopped tomato
    • 2 eggs, beaten
    • 3/4 cup flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/3 cup milk
    • 1 tablespoon cornmeal


    Instructions


    1. Brown meat; drain.

    2. Add green bell pepper and onion; cook until tender.

    3. Add chili powder and half of the cheez whiz; stir over low heat until cheese is melted. Stir in tomato.

    4. Combine remaining cheez whiz, eggs, flour, salt and milk; beat until smooth.

    5. Pour into greased 9" pie plate; sprinkle with cornmeal.

    6. Spoon meat mixture over batter to within 1" of edge.

    7. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.

    8. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
