Fried Green Tomatoes

Recipe Introduction
Unripened green tomatoes. This is very important- even the slightest hint of red will yield a lower quality of the finished version.
List of Ingredients
Mix:
1-1/2 cups flour
2-1/3 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1-1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Lightly beat:
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
2 cups bread crumbs
Vegetable oil or bacon grease for frying
Recipe
Slice green tomatoes into 1/4" slices. Dip tomatoes in seasoned flour. Next drop into the egg wash. Coat each tomatoe with the bread crumbs.
Fry in oil or bacon grease till edges turn brown. The tomatoes will float to the top when finished. Remove & place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Individual taste preferences differ. Some eat them as is, others add salt & pepper. Another is to add a dash or two of hot sauce.
