    Mam-ma's Peach Ice Cream

    List of Ingredients




    Makes 1/2 gallon
    2 cups mashed and sweetened peaches
    4 eggs
    1 cup sugar
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1 quart milk
    2 teaspoon vanilla

    Recipe



    Beat the eggs together.
    Add sugar and salt, mix well.
    Thin with a little milk.
    Pour this mixture into the remaining milk that has been
    warmed.
    Cook until thick enough to coat a spoon. I use a double
    boiler.
    Allow to cool, then chill thoroughly in refrigerator.
    Freeze according to your machines directions, adding
    peaches when ice cream just begins to harden.
    Allow to ripen for best flavor.
