    This tastes just like store bought.

    List of Ingredients




    5 # ground beef (the cheapest you can find)
    5 t table salt
    5 peppercorns, crushed
    2 t garlic powder
    1-1/2 t mustard seed
    2-1/2 t Hickory smoked Salt
    2 t onion powder
    5 t Morton's Curing Salt
    (You must use Mortons curing salt, the kind you use for canning)
    2 t ground caraway seed

    Recipe



    Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl. Knead for about 5 minutes.
    Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours.The next day, knead the mixture again for 5 minutes. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for another 24 hours.
    The next day, knead for 5 minutes and form into six to eight small rolls.
    Place on a broiler pan and bake 8 hours at 150 degrees (the lowest oven setting that you have.) Turn every hour. Turn off the oven and let them cool on the broiler rack still in the oven.Wrap tightly in plastic wrap.
    Refrigerate. Serve with crackers.
