    This is a recipe she gave me 40+ years ago.I thought I'd add it here before I lose it.;-))

    List of Ingredients




    2 cups plain white corn meal
    1 cup buttermilk
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 med onion chopped
    1/2 cup oil
    2 eggs
    1 small can cream style corn
    1 small can green chile peppers
    1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese.

    Recipe



    Mix all ingredients together, except the cheese.
    Pour half into a greased square pan or a cast iron skillet.
    Sprinkle all of the cheese over this. Then pour the rest of the batter on top.
    Bake @ 425� for 25 minutes.
    Really good with pinto beans,or a beef roast.
