    Sweet Apple Pie w/Toffee Bits

    List of Ingredients




    Pastry for double-crust pie
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 t. ground cinnamon
    1/2 t. ground nutmeg
    dash salt
    6 c. thinly sliced peeled apples
    1 c. English toffee bits or almond brickle chips
    2 T. butter or margarine

    Recipe



    Line a pie plate with bottom pastry; trim even with edge of plaste. Combine the sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt; add apples and toss to coat. Stir in toffee bits. Pour in crust. Dot with butter. Roll out remaining pastry for top crust. Make slits. Cover edges loosely with foil Bake at 425� for 30 min. Remove foil; bake 10-15 min. longer or until crust is golden and filling bubbles. Cool and store in fridge.
