    List of Ingredients




    1 quart scalded milk, cooled to luke warm
    1 C. mashed potatoes, leftovers are fine
    1 C. sugar
    1 C. melted butter
    1 cake or package of dry yeast, soaked in 1/2 cup warm water
    1 t baking soda
    2 t baking powder
    1 t salt
    flour to make stiff dough

    Recipe



    Combine milk, mashed potatoes, sugar, butter and dry yeast with water.
    Sift together baking soda, baking powder, salt and flour with other ingredients.
    Cover, keep in warm place until dough doubles.
    Mix down and shape into rolls, let raise.
    Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
    To make a cresent shape, roll in the shape of a circle, brush with melted butter and cut in wedges, roll wedge starting at the large end.
    Place on pan with pointed end underneath.
    A pizza wheel works well for cutting.
    Makes approximately 7 dozen cresent rolls.
