BEEFY BAKED BEANS
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 (31 oz.) can pork and beans
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
2 Tblsp. prepared mustard
4 slices bacon, cut in half
DIRECTIONS:
Cook ground beef until browned, stirring to crumble meat. Drain well. Combine beef and next 6 ingredients; stir well. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 12- x 8- x 2-inch baking dish. Arrange bacon on top of beans. Bake at 400� F. for 40 minutes. Yield: 8 servings.
