    Toasted Almond Granola - e-w
    ��.For fun, vary the kinds of nuts and fruits. The possibilities are endless�
    Yield: 8 cups

    3 c. old fashioned oats
    2 c. rice cereal
    1/2 c. toasted wheat germ
    1/2 c. nonfat dry milk powder
    1/2 c. slivered almonds
    1/4 c. packed brown sugar
    2 T. sunflower kernels
    1/4 tsp. salt

    1/2 c. orange juice
    1/4 c. honey
    2 tsp. canola oil
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp. almond extract

    1 c. golden raisins
    1 c. chopped dried apricots
    1/2 c. dried cranberries

    Optional: Fat-Free plain yogurt

    In a large bow combine the first 8 ingredients. In a saucepan combine the next 3 ingredients. Heat for 3-4 minutes over medium heat until honey is dissolved. Remove from heat; stir in extracts. Pour over the oat mixture; stir to coat.

    Place in a 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan coated with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350� got 20-25 minutes or until crisp, stirring every 10 minutes. Remove and cool completely on a wire rack. Stir in fruit. Store in an airtight container. Serve with yogurt if desired.
