    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 c. shortening
    • 1 c. sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 2-1/4 c. flour
    • 1 t. baking powder
    • 1/2 t. baking soda
    • 1/4 t. salt
    • 2 tbsp. maraschino cherry juice
    • 1 tbsp. vanilla
    • 1/2 pt. maraschino cherries, chopped
    • 1 c. chopped pecans


    Instructions


    1. Cream shortening and sugar together until soft. Add eggs and beat well. Add dry ingredients alternating with cherry juice. Add vanilla, cherries and nuts and beat well. Shape into balls. Bake on greased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes at 350�.
    2. Makes 3-1/2 to 4 dozen.
