    Cabbage and Beef

    List of Ingredients

    1 lb. ground beef
    1 lb. ground pork (or use 2 lb ground beef)
    1 chopped medium onion
    1 tsp. basil
    Salt and pepper to taste
    2 chopped garlic cloves
    1 small head cabbage
    2 - 15 oz. cans diced tomatoes (or 1 large bottle of pasta sauce - or use your own homemade sauce)(check out my phenomenal sauce recipe here)
    1 C. rice (long-grain, uncooked)

    Recipe

    Mix beef & pork together with onion, basil, S&P and garlic.

    Pour some tomatoes or pasta sauce in bottom of crockpot. Add meat mixture followed by the rice.

    Pour more of the sauce over the meat/rice

    Slice cabbage into small wedges and place on top of beef.

    Pour remainder of tomatoes or sauce over the cabbage. Cook on low 8 to 10 hours.

    Delicious - It won't look beautiful but it sure tastes good. Serve with sour cream or if you are trying to maintain your girlish figure - use yogurt.
