    Recipe Introduction

    by pineapplegirl 03 Nov 2010, 05:51

    List of Ingredients

    1 cup gf flour blend
1 egg or equal amount of egg replacer to bind
    1 tbs olive/canola/sunflower/tolerated Oil
1.5 cups water (I always use bottled)
pinch aluminum free baking powder (you can omit if sensitive)
    pinch sea salt

    Recipe

Mix the salt, oil and water, then add in the flour and baking powder.

Mix until you get a pancake-like consistency.

Wipe a pan or skillet with oil and let sit on medium heat for a couple of minutes (5 mins more or less).

Pretend youre making a crepe, pour in the batter and spread it evenly by tilting the pan.

When the top side is no longer wet, flip over with a spatula.

Use spatula to remove from pan when done and repeat process.

Author's Note: This is my interpretation of a wonderful Lebanese/Palestinian flatbread called Markook. Ive tried to capture the essence of that wonderfully rich bread but omit the yeast.
